A longtime resident of Walnut Creek, CA, Lorraine enjoys all art
media. Often painting on location, she paints many local and
historical scenes. Preferring the traditional style, she expresses
herself in a variety of subjects specializing in watercolor scenes and
portraits.

Lorraine has benefited by the countless long hours of study and
practice with several nationally known prominent artists. Among the
list are Gerald Brommer, Dong Kingman, Tom Nicholas, Zoltan
Szabo, and the late Jade Fon and Millard Sheets.

Jade Fon introduced Lorraine to watercolor in the Early 1970's. She
was entranced with the media, finding it much easier to convey to
her viewers her love of nature, people, and all the beauty that
surrounds us.

Lorraine is a signature member of the Society of Western Artists,
and she is a member of several art associations, including the
California Watercolor Association. Among her accolades is the
Grumbacher Gold Medal for Best of Show and two Silver Medals. In
addition, Lorraine has received numerous awards at County Fairs as
well as many judged shows throughout the San Francisco/East Bay
Areas. Her love for the San Francisco Bay Area is prevalent in many
of her works, in that she capture the beauty and history of many
landmarks of the area.

Lorraine's artwork is shown in many commericial and private
collections in the United States, Mexico, and Japan. She also exhibits
in several business establishments and galleries in the East Bay
Area.
